AREAS OF EXPERTISE
GENERAL DERMATOLOGY
Dr Kentley trained in tertiary-level clinics dedicated to the management of severe acne, psoriasis, eczema, and male genital dermatology; and also runs a clinic dedicated to dermatological care of people living with HIV. He has also worked in the psychodermatology service and appreciates the significant emotional burden that can often be associated with suffering from skin disease. Therefore, he has a comprehensive and holistic approach to managing the skin, ensuring that treatment is tailored to the individual physical and psychological needs of each patient.
COSMETIC DERMATOLOGY AND LASER
Dr Kentley has received extensive training and mentorship in cosmetic dermatology. During his fellowship in New York, he was exposed to a wide array of procedures and also undertook both a Mentorship and Preceptorship with the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery in Scottsdale, Arizona. He later completed the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group (BCDG) Injectables Programme under the mentorship of leading cosmetic dermatologists in the UK.
Dr Kentley is passionate about educating the next generation of cosmetic dermatologists and currently sits on the Executive Committee of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group.
Dr Kentley is widely quoted in the media on the topic, including publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, BBC News, and The Standard. He regularly consults for skincare and medical device companies.
SKIN CANCER AND SURGERY
Dr Kentley has undertaken many years of dedicated skin cancer research, as well as a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering, the world’s leading cancer hospital. He has completed a postdoctoral research degree on the diagnosis of melanoma using advanced imaging techniques and artificial intelligence, and is an expert in dermoscopy to recognise skin cancer at its earliest stage.
He is experienced in minor skin surgery and has many hundreds of procedures under his belt. He has a wide network of dermatological and plastic surgeons as well as oncologists when more advanced surgery or treatments are required.
