Dr Jonathan Kentley,
MBBS BSc MSc MRCP(Derm)
Dr Kentley is a highly respected consultant dermatologist with experience in the diagnosis and management of a full spectrum of skin conditions. With a passion for healthy skin, Dr Kentley offers personalised and compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
He has a specialist expertise in the use of technology to facilitate early and accurate diagnosis of skin cancer and completed a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, before taking on his NHS Consultant post at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Dr Kentley also has extensive international training in cosmetic dermatology and laser treatments, and sits on the Executive Committee of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group. He is regularly quoted by the mainstream media and acts as a spokesperson for several dermatological charities including the British Skin Foundation and the Melanoma Research Alliance.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Dr Kentley holds his medical degree from Barts and the London, where he graduated with distinction, and also completed a BSc in Pharmacology from King’s College London. He undertook his medical training at some of London’s most prestigious hospitals before securing a competitive London dermatology training number and taking on a consultant post at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
During his postgraduate training, Dr Kentley also obtained an MSc in Clinical Drug Development from University College London, where he graduated on the Dean’s List, and is now completing a Research Doctorate at Imperial College London. He has written several book chapters and published extensively in high-impact research journals, as well as presented his research across the globe.
During training, Dr Kentley also completed a one-year fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he undertook research in advanced imaging techniques and artificial intelligence to diagnose skin cancer, as well as cutting-edge treatments.
